Welcome. My wife Mary and I moved into the area some three years ago, and membership of the Society has played a large part in helping us to feel at home here. I recommend it to others who may be in a similar position. For those who are long established residents, but not yet members, I would say that the Society enables us to expand our knowledge and appreciation of Burford's unique history and to make new friends, as well enabling us to play a part in shaping the town's future.

The Committee have arranged a fantastic programme of events for this year. The annual subscription is just £10 which allows you to attend all evening talks and the garden party without further payment. There are three ways to become a member:​

• Join by completing and submitting an application form​​

• ​Just come to our next meeting and join there — you will be very welcome
